After a day-long discussion on the IMF’s annual report, the meeting of the International Monetary Fund on October 7 unanimously adopted a United States resolution calling on the executive directors to promptly consider the question of enlarging the resources of the Fund through increases in quotas of member-countries. It was provided by the resolution that the views expressed by the Fund’s governors and all other aspects of the matter should be taken into consideration and an appropriate proposal be submitted to the Board of Governors for action.
