I wish to congratulate The Hindu on its coverage of the persecution of Christians in Orissa. We should hang our heads in shame over the happenings in the State. It is sad that the media in general and the electronic media in particular are not giving adequate coverage to what is happening there. Thomas Joseph, Why has the Centre not imposed President's rule in Orissa? Why hasn't a CBI inquiry been ordered into the atrocities against Christians yet? The people will naturally conclude that for those at the helm of affairs, political compulsions are more important than the well-being of citizens. F.X. Leslie, The gang rape of a nun in Orissa is a reminder of the brutal gang rape of Bilkis Bano, a victim of the Gujarat riots. It took six years for her to get justice. Will the nun too have to wait for years to see her attackers behind bars? Why are such incidents taking place where the BJP is in power or shares power?
