Children enthral audience

NTPC organises Southern Region Cultural Meet

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Southern Region Cultural Meet of the National Thermal Power Company (NTPC) was organised at the Simhadri Super Thermal Power Project here on Tuesday.

More than 100 children belonging to four teams of Southern Region viz., Ramagudam, Simhadri, Southern Region (HQ) and Rajiv Gandhi Combined Cycle Power Project (Kerala) participated in the cultural meet.

Good show

‘Festivals of India’ was the theme for the cultural meet. Child artistes gave good performance of various classical and folk dances, ballets etc depicting various festivals, like Sankranthi, Onam.

Dasara, Dandiya and dance forms like Naga Dance, Bhangra Dance being observed in different States of the country.

The meet continued till late night and the audience had thoroughly enjoyed the performance of child artistes. Y.J. Rao, General Manager (Projects), NTPC Simhadri was the chief guest.

President Deepika Ladies club, Janaki Venkateswaran, was present.

Deputy General Manager, D.K. Patnakar, choreographer Yogesh Mishra were the judges.
