DG of NCC coming

Kakinada: Director-General of National Cadet Corps Prakash S. Chaudhary is arriving here on October 11 to participate in the ceremonial parade and entertainment programmes to be organised as part of the Special National Integration Camp on October 12. Along with Union Minister of State for Defence M.M. Pallam Raju, Lt. Gen. Chaudhary will take part in the special NCC camp hosted by Group Headquarters, Kakinada. The ceremonial parade is being held at the 3rd APSP Grounds and it will be followed by an entertainment show at the District Sports Authority stadium. An alumnus of King George’s School, Bangalore, Lt. Gen Chaudhary was commissioned into the famous Rajputana Rifles in 1968. He had commanded an Army formation in counter-terrorist operations in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab. He had been an officer instructor in training cadets at the National Defence Academy and the Indian Military Academy and had also trained young officers at the Infantry School, Belgaum. Lt. Gen. Chaudhary had been decorated seven times for acts of either gallantry or distinguished service.
