Budget estimates for ‘jatara’ approved

VIZIANAGARAM: The Municipal Council on Friday approved the budget estimates for arranging drinking water kiosks at 11 places in the town at a cost of Rs.24, 893 and an equal number of makeshift toilets at a cost of Rs.24,987 for the benefit of devotees thronging the town on the occasion of Sri Pydithalli Ammavari Jatara on October 13 and 14.

Municipal Chairperson A. Suribabu said that a sum of Rs.50, 000 was sanctioned for deploying additional staff for sanitation.
