Patna to host senior National table tennis

VIJAYAWADA: Patna will host the 70th Senior National table tennis championship from January 5 to 11, 2009, while the junior and youth Nationals will be staged in Gujarat from December 23 to 28, according to a release from the Table Tennis Federation of India here on Friday.

The calendar (2008-09): National: India Open and ITTF pro-tour tournament (Indore) Oct. 29 to Nov. 2; East Zone National ranking tournament (Kolkata) Nov. 4 to 8; Sub-junior National championship (Vijayawada) Nov. 24 to 30; North Zone National ranking tournament (Jalandhar) Dec. 2 to 6; South Zone National ranking tournament (Bangalore) Dec. 8 to 12; coaching camp (Patiala) Jan. 20 to Feb. 28, 2009.

International: Sarbian Open tournament Oct. 22 to 26; German Open tournament Nov. 19 to 23; Polish Open tournament Nov. 26 to 30; coaching camp (China) March 1 to 31, 2009. – Sports Reporter
