Suspected Maoists kill two in Jharkhand
CHATRA (JHARKHAND): Suspected Maoists have killed two persons, including a self-styled commander of the banned Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC) and injured a villager in Chatra district, the police said here on Friday.
TPC activist Nilesh alias Kariman Ganju was watching a cultural programme at Kunda village late on Thursday when about 50 suspected Maoists surrounded him and opened fire, Assistant Superintendent of Police Kumar Abhishek said.
A villager was injured when a bullet hit him. The TPC is a breakaway group of the CPI (Maoist). — PTI
