Romantic pair: Srikant and Charmee in ‘Kausalya Supraja Rama.’

Ranga Rao (Kota Srinivas Rao) is an owner of a software company.

He needs to go abroad for a few days on official work and leaves the responsibility of taking care of his home, dog and daughter, to his employee Sri Ram (Srikant).

Sri Ram becomes a glorified house-keeper and in the process falls in love with Ranga Rao’s daughter Supraja (Charmee) . Ranga Rao returns and is more than happy about the turn of events in the house.

His son who is an amnesiac becomes normal, his daughter who was not on speaking terms with him for years, turns affectionate, and there is sunshine back in his life.

He announces the betrothal of Supraja and Sri Ram but his happiness is short-lived. A doctor breaks the news that Sri Ram is already married.

Predictable mystery

The rest of the film runs on predictable lines.

The narration evokes little interest as the audience are treated to the suspense right in the beginning of the film, with Ranga Rao’s eldest daughter Kausalya (Gowri Munjal) running away and getting hit in an accident and Srikant in inevitable circumstances admits her in a hospital as his wife. Gowri Munjal has no scope to perform as she is shown most of the time as a patient in coma shedding a tear or two.

Miscellany

Charmee has lost some weight, looks good and puts some spunk into her character. Srikant does well but there is nothing to look forward to in his role.

The entire film is all about showing how good and noble a man Srikant is. The script is outdated.

There is obsolete music, there are double entendre dialogues and dispensable dances which seem deliberately squeezed in the movie for entertainment.
