Tenders floated to procure furniture for libraries

KRISHNAGIRI: Tenders have been floated to procure furniture worth Rs. 59 lakh for libraries in Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri districts.

There are about 113 libraries in Dharmapuri out of which there are 21 branch libraries, 66 village libraries and 26 part time libraries, said Mr. Jagadeesan, the District Librarian.

The fund to procure the furniture has been allotted by the State Government under the Anaithu Grama Anna Marumalarchi Thittam (AGAMT) for 2008-09.

The tenders were floated by the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department of the State Government.

Interested contractors can purchase the tender schedules and rules regulations at the Project Officer, DRDA, on payment of Rs. 500.

A pre tender meeting has been arranged on October 21, 2008.

Last date to get the tender schedule is October 28 and the last date for submission is October 29 at 3 p.m.

The tenders will be opened at 4 p.m. on the same day at the respective DRDA offices.
