House looted

NEW DELHI: A gang of robbers struck at a house in Hauz Khas here over the weekend and made off with cash and jewellery worth several lakhs.

According to the police, three young men barged into the premises in the afternoon and asked the lady of the house, Bindu, to hand over the keys to the cupboard. When she refused, one of them attacked her with a screwdriver and snatched the keys. The three then made off with cash and jewellery kept in the cupboard. Bindu’s five-year-old son and a maidservant were at home at the time while her husband was away.
