Correspondent

VIZIANAGARAM: Elaborate arrangements have been made for the two-day Sirimanotsavam of Sri Pydithalli Ammavaru that begins with Tholellu on Monday.

The devasthanam has erected barricades for regulating devotees thronging the temple from early hours. A control room has been opened in Edward Hospital, in front of the temple at Three Lamps junction, where first aid to devotees will also be extended. The State Road Transport Corporation will be operating 237 special services on October 13, 14 and 15 in the northeast coastal region comprising Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts. Information regarding bus services could be known at special counters arranged for the convenience of devotees at Kothapeta water tank, Dassannapeta rythu bazaar and RTC Complex.

SP Vikram Singh Mann has said in a release that police machinery has been geared up to check untoward incidents.
