BANGALORE: A world of wildlife will unfold itself around you, if you visit the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat between October 17 and 23. “Wild Jewels,” an exhibition of wildlife photographs by K.M. Narayanaswamy, Deputy Conservator of Forests, Kollegal Division, and “Wildlife Quest – Across the World” by Khalid Ghani, a wildlife ecologist and photographer, will be on display. Wild Jewels will feature over 150 photographs including blue-tailed bee-easters, the white-throated kingfisher, a short-toed serpent eagle dragging a snake, wild dogs, rebeing, one horned rhinoceros, short-toed snake eagle among others. The photograph “Three Tiger Cubs in a Den”, which brought Mr. Narayanaswamy fame among the wildlife photographers’ circle, and many more photographs that won him national and international awards are on display as well. “Nature is the best teacher for learners. I am one such person who is learning a lot of natural activities through photography. Photography is the tool to learn many activities of nature beyond our reach,” says Mr. Narayanaswamy. Wild Jewels will be inaugurated on October 17 by the Minister for Food and Civil Supplies H. Halappa.
