Contractor fined

Kakinada: Collector Gopalakrishna Dwivedi imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on a contractor (Universal Tech Group) for failure to maintain cleanliness on the premises of Government General Hospital (GGH), Kakinada and warned the contract would be annulled if filthy conditions prevailed at the time of his next visit. He has also issued show cause notices to health supervisor K Venkata Rao and his staff for not taking a tough stand against the contractor.
