KOCHI: The Volvo Ocean Race village at Kochi port and accompanying facilities for the December stopover of the world’s toughest ocean marathon will be ready by November 15, in time for the sponsors of the Ocean Race to bring in their 100 container loads of equipment for preparation of the pavilion. Chairman of Cochin Port Trust, N. Ramachandran, told a press conference here on Wednesday that building infrastructure — the Ocean Race Village, a 350-metre boat jetty, a media centre, a 35-metre-long exhibition hall and public amenities, would involve an investment to the tune of Rs. 70 crore.
