Special Correspondent

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Eminent scientist and science administrator P. Rama Rao has said research potential in the still unexplored areas of material science is so immense that it would take decades of focused research to cover it from the current stage of scientific knowledge.

Prof. Rama Rao, Member, Atomic Energy Commission, made this observation while delivering the Prof. Brahm Prakash Memorial Lecture at a national seminar on ‘Special purpose, strategic and futuristic materials for high-technology sectors’ here on Thursday.

The seminar is organised by the Thiruvananthapuram Chapter of the Indian Institute of Metals.
