Man confesses to killing daughter, surrenders

PALAKKAD: In a shocking incident, a man surrendered at the South police station here on Friday confessing to killing his daughter after a quarrel with her over her alleged love affair with a boy.

Rajan, a rice mill-owner from East Yakkara in the town, allegedly killed his daughter Sunitha (18) at their house on Friday morning. Her mother was away at the mill when the incident occurred.

After the tragic incident, the father went to the police station and surrendered, the police said.

The deceased Sunitha is a student of a private college in Palakkad town.
