Fake IMFL unit busted, 6 held

PUDUCHERRY: The police have busted a fake Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) manufacturing unit at Indira Nagar near Chettipattu at Thirukannur during the early hours of Saturday.

Six persons were arrested and spurious liquor worth Rs. two lakh were seized.

According to the police, the department received information about a fake IMFL unit at Chettipattu at 1.30 a.m.

On reaching the spot, the police found six persons manufacturing and bottling spurious liquor.

They were arrested and 1,008 quarter bottles of liquor seized.
