All smiles: Minister for Major Industries Geeta Reddy handing over the loan waiver certificates to beneficiaries in Gajwel of Medak district. SANGAREDDY: Major Industries Minister J. Geeta Reddy on Sunday called upon the people to use the welfare schemes being implemented by the government. Participating in ‘Indiramma Sambaralu’ third phase held at Gajwel, Ms. Geeta Reddy said that about 70 lakh houses were being constructed by the State government for the benefit of poor and in the first and second phases about 45 lakh houses were sanctioned and under third phase another 25 lakh houses are being sanctioned. In Gajwel mandal alone about 5,000 were benefited under the scheme. The Minister congratulated the district administration and beneficiaries for utilising the scheme. The Minister also distributed loan waiver certificates to 3,794 beneficiaries to the tune of Rs. 3.15 crore offered by the SC Corporation. Similarly pensions were distributed to 2,950 beneficiaries. Collector Peeyush Kumar said that ‘Mana Ooru’ programme was launched to implement schemes at village level. He suggested them to use the forum to address problems being faced by them in getting the schemes.
