Act gets assent

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Medical Officers’ Admission to Postgraduate Courses Under Service Quota Act has received Presidential assent. In a statement here on Sunday, the Kerala Government Medical College Teachers’ Association lauded the State government, Health Minister P.K. Sreemathy and Health Department officials for their efforts to secure assent, and said it was a major step in human resources development in the health-care sector. — Special Correspondent
