Naidu takes up cause of red jowar growers in Nizamabad

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday demanded the government to ensure that arrears of Rs.10.83 crore by AP Seeds were paid to growers of red jowar in Nizamabad district.

He declared that the party would take part in the ‘maha dharna’ at Armoor on October 23, if the ‘just’ demand was not met.

In a letter to Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, he wanted the cases booked against the farmers during the recent agitation seeking payment of arrears to be withdrawn.
