Timer device causes panic in Kakinada

KAKINADA: Panic prevailed at the Government General Hospital here on Sunday following a bomb threat. However, no harm was done as the ‘bomb’ consisted of a timer device while there was no explosive that could cause any damage.
Gollababu, a contractor looking after the construction of a new hospital block, received a call from a land phone, that bombs were planted in his scooter and that they would explode soon.
A bomb disposal squad rushed to the spot along with sniffer dogs and carefully defused the ‘bomb’ strapped to the undercarriage of the scooter. A timer device was found fastened to it,
