Four injured in stone pelting by two groups

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: A clash between two groups sparked off tension at Azadnagar in Amberpet on Sunday.

Four persons, including two women, suffered injuries after two groups resorted to stone pelting, according to police.

The injured persons were shifted to the Osmania General Hospital where they were treated as out-patients.

Trouble began when a madarsa student picked up an argument with a youngster for allegedly passing comments against him and in a fit of rage the youngster manhandled the student.

The student later went to the madarsa and informed about the incident to elders. Then the two groups resorted to stone-pelting.

Police personnel immediately rushed to the area and brought the situation under control.

A police picket was also posted in the locality immediately to prevent any untoward incident.
