VIJAYAWADA: Four persons of a marriage party were feared drowned in an agricultural tank at Tarigoppula village of Manikonda mandal, about 30 km from here, when a private bus in which they were travelling fell into the tank on Sunday evening. Ten others who suffered severe injuries were rushed to the Gannavaram Government Hospital. Over 30 others were rescued by the villagers. According to the police, the marriage party consisting of about 50 persons engaged a private bus to reach the bride’s house at Gannavaram. The accident occurred around 7 p.m. when the bus reached Tarigoppula village. In a bid to make way for an APSRTC bus coming from the opposite direction, the driver took a sudden turn and drove the vehicle straight into the tank.
