‘A majority of them will be absorbed directly’ 10 more employers attend the fair on the second day BANGALORE: They might be queuing up for jobs en masse but they were highly qualified and many of them possessed post-graduation in science, arts and commerce, engineering and even Masters in Business Administration and Computer Applications. This was the scene on the second day of the Job Fair organised by the State Government at the Koramangala Indoor Sports Stadium here. According to Joint Director of Employment Training Ramachandrappa, 15,329 job aspirants registered within the last 48 hours and a majority of them will be absorbed directly while the others will get skill development training from 110 employers coming from various sectors, including service and manufacturing. Today, 10 more employers joined the 100 employers who attended the fair on Saturday. The second day of the job fair was more orderly as the authorities allowed the job seekers to be seated inside the stadium on chairs. On Saturday, they were squatting on the ground outside the stadium when the Chief Minister and the Labour Minister visited the Job Fair. The list of employers today included Kamat Yatri Nivas, Richo India Limited, various security services, construction and engineering companies. Mr. Ramachandrappa said that the companies will release the list of hired candidates on Monday.
