Rape case against jawans

GUWAHATI: Police in violence-affected Udalguri district on Monday registered a case of alleged rape and molestation of two women of Bhalukmari village by some CRPF jawans on Sunday afternoon.

Deputy Commissioner of Udalguri Kamal Mahanta told The Hindu that the women were sent for medical examination and to record their statement before judicial magistrates. Based on the medical report and statements , an identification parade will be conducted on Tuesday.
