Letters to the Editor
The resolution adopted by Tamil Nadu’s political parties saying their MPs will resign if the Centre does not ensure a ceasefire in Sri Lanka is welcome. The people of Tamil Nadu cannot watch their brethren in Sri Lanka suffer. There is nothing wrong in trying to save them. After the cessation of hostilities in the island-nation, the leaders must appeal to the LTTE to lay down weapons, which it uses to kill Tamils who do not agree with it and hold a different view. T.N. Arthanari, Salem K.N. Ramani, Coimbatore
