SALEM: Salem district unit of Janata Dal (Secular) condemned the State government for its failure to control the prices of essential commodities. It criticised the government for failing to ensure uninterrupted power supply in the State. The government was yet to check the brewing and selling of illicit liquor in several parts of the State, its district president G. Velayudham said in a press release. The party wanted the district administration to improve the healthcare delivery in Karumanthurai hill areas. They demanded the administration to shift a burial ground located near a government school in Karumanthurai.
