THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Cabinet on Wednesday congratulated the engineers of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on the successful launch of the Chandrayan-I, India’s maiden moon mission. Noting that this was a historic day, Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan told the media after the Cabinet meeting that the country’s achievements in space exploration and research were a matter of pride and happiness to the people of the country. “We congratulate the scientists who worked day and night for the success of the mission,” he said. Scientists laudedThe former judge of the Supreme Court V.R. Krishna Iyer has congratulated G. Madhavan Nair, ISRO chief, for the successful launch of the lunar mission.
