Shivam Tyagi beats Karan

NEW DELHI: Shivam Tyagi defated Karan Singh 19-21, 21-12, 21-9 in the first round of the under-16 boys’ section in the third Pramod Mahajan Memorial badminton tournament here on Wednesday.

The results (first round):

Boys: U-19: Surender Rathi bt Yash Nain 21-19, 24-22; Abhishek Ahlawat bt Lalit Kumar 21-13, 21-9; Amanpreet Singh bt Shiv Dhawan 21-15, 21-17; Trinayan Lahkar bt Akash Narang 21-13, 21-11.

U-16: Shikhar Aggarwal bt Amanpreet Singh 21-17, 21-13; Shivam Tyagi bt Karan Singh 19-21, 21-12, 21-9; Sumit Choudhary bt Shaleen Thakur 22-20, 21-10.
