CHENNAI: A software engineer committed suicide in a lodge at Egmore here on Wednesday.
Police said Arulraj (30) of Tuticorin, who was into software business, had checked into the lodge on Tuesday. Since he did not open the door for long, the staff alerted the police. A duplicate key was used to open the room in which Arulraj was found hanging from the ceiling. In a suicide note he claimed that he was taking the extreme step owing to debts. The Egmore police have registered a case.
