CHANDIGARH: Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary (Power) Ashok Lavasa on Thursday called for implementation of a three-point programme aimed at achieving consumer satisfaction. Addressing a meeting of senior officials of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam here, he said the focus should be on reducing Aggregate, Technical and Commercial (AT and C) losses, segregating overloaded and lengthy feeders and ensuring good customer relations. Reducing lossesMr. Lavasa said the major challenge before the Haryana power sector was to bring down the losses through transformer-wise energy audit, 100 per cent checking of the consumer meters of the identified feeders and strengthening of the distribution system. He directed the Nigam to provide a mobile van at each district headquarter with all necessary equipment required for attending to consumer complaints. Officers of the level of Chief Engineers and Directors were directed to inspect a minimum of two to three field offices and sub- stations every month to check the system and have a direct interaction with the public. He also directed the officers to identify the overloaded and lengthier urban and mixed urban feeders.
