Arrest of former Minister sought

SANGAREDDY: Demanding the arrest of former Minister Suddala Devaiah and his driver holding them responsible for the death of a lorry driver, scores of villagers and relatives staged a dharna before Siddipet RDO office on Thursday. RDO Hanumantha Rao pacified the agitators by promising to act as per law.

According to sources, Devaiah’s vehicle hit two persons -- Sahadeva Reddy and Shekar Reddy -- a lorry driver and cleaner at Duddeda village under Kuknurpalli police station limits late on Wednesday night. Later, the vehicle lost control and hit a tree in which both Devaiah and his driver were injured.
