The latter half of a report “Landmark in our space programme: President Pratibha Patil” (October 23, 2008) said “Reserving his special greetings for Chandrayaan-1 project head Mayilsamy Annamalai, who hails from Kothavadi village near Pollachi [Tamil Nadu], Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi said ….” It should have been Mayilsamy Annadurai, as given in the reports “Chandrayaan-1 bound for Moon” and “An international mission with India as captain” (October 23, 2008, page 1 and Inside page reports respectively).
A report “IIM-Kozhikode student found hanging in hostel room” (October 22, 2008) said the student was from Jamshedpur in Bihar. Jamshedpur is in Jharkhand.
A report “Festive atmosphere on MLIRC [Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre] campus” (“Region — Karnataka”, October 23, 2008, page 2) referred to the former Colonel of the regiment and former Chief of the Army Staff General J.J. Singh, and the Colonel of the regiment, Maj. Gen. Narendra Singh as Mr. Singh and Mr. Narendra Singh. The ranks should have been mentioned throughout the report.
