It’s raining ‘offers’

With the festival of lights just around the corner, shopkeepers are going all out to woo customers with a slew of festive offers.

A chance to win Rs.5, 000 for purchasing products worth Rs.10, 000. Get three shirts for purchasing a shirt worth Rs.2, 000. Buy any article worth Rs.999 and get a jar free are some of the luring offers. Some traders are issuing advertisements in newspapers, while others are distributing pamphlets in newspapers.

Myriad strategies have been formulated to do brisk business and encash the festive spirit among the public.
