Air India’s new flight service

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Air India has introduced a direct flight from the city to Kolkata from Sunday onwards on all days except Mondays and Fridays.

On the international sector, the Air India flight connecting Hyderabad and Sharjah will be a ‘daily direct flight’ with effect from Sunday. Air Bus A-320 Flight IC-218 will take off from Hyderabad at 6 a.m. and land in Kolkata two hours later.

On its return trip IC-217 would depart from Kolkata at 9 a.m. and arrive here by 11 a.m. The Kolkata flight is to “meet the growing needs of travelling public at convenient timings for onward Northeast connections,” the statement said. The Hyderabad-Vizag-Hyderabad flight (IC-617/618) will now fly on all days except Tuesdays.

The Hyderabad and Bangalore flight (IC-916/915) has been withdrawn. Passengers could enquire by calling toll free numbers 18001801407 or 1407 (BSNL/MTNL lines).

Details can be had from the website www.airindia.in.
