IIChE students’ chapter

KOZHIKODE: C.R. Surendranathan, deputy chief controller of explosives, Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation (PESO), Kerala will inaugurate the students’ chapter of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE) at National Institute of Technology, Calicut (NIT-C) near here on October 29.

G.R.C. Reddy, director, NIT-C will preside. R.Venugopal, controller of explosives, PESO, Kerala and chairman, IIChE, Kochi Regional Centre will deliver the keynote address on the topic, ‘IIChE—an inspiration.’ Babu Jose, honorary secretary, IIChE, Kochi regional centre and Saji Babu, student chapter coordinator, IIChE, Kochi regional centre will attend the inaugural function.

The inaugural function will be followed by a couple of technical talks including ‘Single Point Mooring,’ by BPCL-Kochi Refinery and ‘Green Construction Technique’ by FACT, Shiny Joseph, head of department of Chemical Engineering said in a release.
