KATTAPPANA: Permanent residents of Idukki, even if they were born outside the district, will be eligible for nativity marks in the last grade examination conducted by the Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC). At a complaint redress adalat held here on Friday, PSC officials told that all genuine complaints in this regard had been considered. In case of examination centres, the commission tries to allot the centre nearest to the candidate’s place of residence. Priority will be given in providing the centre in the candidate’s own taluk. In addition to the weightage marks, a three per cent reservation is also given to the differently-abled candidates, the officials said. Two, three and five per cent weightage will be given to holders of NCC A, B and C certificates respectively in selections to police, jail, excise, forest, and fire and rescue services, the officials said. Issues related to caste certificate; non-creamy layer certificate; non-inclusion in short list or rank list; failure to receive employment order; failure in reporting vacancies in time; and weightage given on the basis of educational qualifications were taken up at the adalat.
