Tiruchi Corporation Council meeting adjourned; to be held on October 31

TIRUCHI: An ordinary meeting of the Corporation Council, scheduled for Friday, was adjourned without transacting any business for want of quorum.

With all the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam members away at Chennai to participate in the human chain agitation on the Sri Lankan Tamils issue, just about a dozen turned up for the meeting.

Mayor Sarubala R. Tondaiman announced that the meeting would be held on October 31.
