No change in PMT pattern in 2009: CBSE

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education, which conducts the all-India pre-medical/pre-dental entrance examinations every year, has announced that there will be no change in the final stage pattern of the examination to be conducted in 2009.

The pre-medical/pre-dental entrance exams are conducted in two phases: preliminary and final. While the preliminary exam is of objective type, the final stage follows a subjective type pattern.

“There have been reports in the print media regarding the change of pattern in the final stage exam from subjective type to objective type. It is brought to the notice of all concerned that there is no change in the final stage pattern of examination to be conducted in the year 2009. The new pattern will be effective from the All-India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination-2010,” announced CBSE Controller of Examinations M. C. Sharma in a statement.
