Excise police station raided, 2 cops injured
VIZIANAGARAM: A habitual offender and his men raided the Excise police station here late on Friday night and stabbed a constable and assaulted another with knife and iron rods. According to officials, excise constables picked up a housewife and her infant and seized over 20 spurious liquor sachets. She was detained in the police station. Her husband and habitual offender Kanna Sattibabu, who came to know about it at 11.30 p.m., raided the station along with his brother Santosh and an auto driver, hit constable S. Sadguna Rao with a rod and also assaulted another constable Venkata Rao. They freed the accused woman and fled.
