Leaders extend Deepavali greetings

Bangalore: Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa and Governor Rameshwar Thakur have extended Deepavali greetings to the people.

“Let the celebration of the festival usher in peace, prosperity and contentment and inspire diverse sections of society to cohabit peacefully,” the Chief Minister said.

The Governor said, “On the auspicious occasion of Deepavali, the festival of lights, I warmly greet and convey my good wishes to the people of the State. … May Deepavali be a harbinger of happiness, amity, togetherness, all-round progress and development.” — Special Correspondent
