Bangalore: A five-member fact-finding committee of the Congress, headed by Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council V.S. Ugrappa, will visit the area where OMC Mines of Andhra Pradesh is allegedly trespassing into the forest land in Tumiri village of Sandur taluk.

Addressing presspersons here, Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly M. Mallikarjun Kharge and Mr. Ugrappa said that the Government had arrested party leader M. Diwakar Babu when he objected to the loss of land to the neighbouring State. They claimed that a team of officers from the departments of Survey and Settlement and Mines and Geology had told them that it was disputed land and that no mining should be allowed there till a survey was conducted.
