Western triumphs

KOCHI: Western Naval Command (485 points), led by Captain Someshwar, won the overall title in the Indian Navy yachting championship, which concluded here on Saturday.

The team with the least number of points wins the championship and Eastern (757 points) and Southern (869) finished second and third respectively. Sixty races in four classes — Laser, J24, Enterprise and Hobie16 — were conducted during the championship, organised by the Southern Naval Command’s Seamanship School.
