KOCHI: The host Rajagiri HSS, Don Bosco (Irinjalakuda), Vidyodaya (Thevakkal) and Don Bosco HSS (Puthupally) marched into the boys quarterfinals after the league games in the Fr. Francis Sales all-Kerala inter-school basketball tournament at the Rajagiri floodlit stadium, Kalamassery, on Saturday. In the girls section, Campion School (Edapally), Toc-H (Vytilla) advanced to the semifinals along with Rajagiri HSS and Rajagiri Public School who have been a direct berth into the last-four grade. The results: Boys league: Group A: Rajagiri HSS, Kalamassery 41 (Arun Raveendran 19) bt St. Joseph’s EMHSS, Thrikakkara 8; Don Bosco HS, Puthupally 33 (Pintu John 16) bt St Joseph’s 23. Group B: Don Bosco, Irinjalakuda 22 bt Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vaduthala 7; Don Bosco 25 bt St. Joseph’s, Pavaratty 9. Group C: St. Thomas HSS, Pala 37 bt Rajagiri PS, Kalamassery 12.
