Mixed luck for Indian teams

New Delhi: Indian hoopsters had a mixed day with the men’s (u-17) team winning both its matches against Singapore and Malaysia, while their women counterparts went down against Thailand and Malaysia at the first Asian Beach Games at Bali, Indonesia on Saturday.

The men’s team defeated Singapore 33-21 and Malaysia 31-28, while the women’s team was beaten 33-18 by Thailand and 34-14 by Malaysia, according to a Basketball Federation of India release. — PTI
