Chain stolen from temple

TAMBARAM: A gold chain weighing about seven sovereigns was reportedly stolen from a temple in Gowrivakkam near Tambaram. The Selaiyur police said that the chain was placed around a chair kept inside ‘Ayya Narayanasamy’ shrine of the Surathamman Temple in Santhi Nagar. Temple authorities said that they worshipped the chair and the chain placed around it. The chain was found missing on Tuesday morning.
