JNTU to organise 1K Rally on Nov. 1

Kakinada: The JNTU, Kakinada is organising 1K Rally here on November 1 as part of the Andhra Pradesh Formation Day celebrations to promote unity and integrity among students with the slogan ‘My heart beats for my university’.

All affiliated colleges have been asked to send two students each to participate in the event. The colleges have also been instructed to come up with flags specially designed for the occasion, in unique formats. The participants have to report to G. Syam Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Physical Education, on October 31 at 11 a.m. A trail rally will be conducted on Friday at 5 p.m.

It is for the first time that university is going to celebrate the State Formation Day under the new fully autonomous dispensation and is aimed at infusing among students a sense of belongingness, Vice-Chancellor Allam Appa Rao has said in a press release.
