12 huts destroyed in fire accidents

VIZIANAGARAM: Eight fire accidents were reported in the district on the night of Deepavali on Tuesday. All the accidents occurred due to fireworks, said B. Ammi Naidu, Assistant DFO. The incidents were reported from Gunkalam in Vizianagaram where four huts were destroyed when a burning rocket fell on them. Five huts at Bhurjavalasa in Bobbili mandal, two huts in Parvathipuram town and one in Salur besides a haystack and sheds were destroyed in the fire, he added. There were no casualties .
