Palakkad
PALAKKAD: Three loading workers were killed and two others seriously injured when a truck carrying logs of wood overturned at Palakkayam, near Mannarkad, on Wednesday. The deceased are Krishnankutty (38) of Palakkayam Vadakke Medathil; Ouseph (55), son of Pathrose of Palakkayam Anikkathu Vayambil and Ravi (43), son of Kumaran of Palakkayam Kochuveettil. The injured are Chaco (42) and Veerappu (45) of Palakkayam. Chaco was admitted to a private hospital at Thachanpara while Veerappu was admitted to a private hospital at Perinthalmanna, the police said.
