Narrow win for England

ST. JOHN’S (Antigua): England defeated Trinidad and Tobago by one run when Ravi Rampaul was run out going for a second run off the last ball in the Stanford Twenty20 Super Series cricket match on Tuesday.

England made 141 for six and Trinidad 140 for nine in the warm-up for England’s clash with the Stanford Superstars — a West Indies all-star side — for $20 million on Saturday.

The scores: England 141 for six in 20 overs (I. Bell 37, K. Pietersen 44, S. Ganga four for 23) bt Trinidad and Tobago 140 for nine in 20 overs (D. Ramdin 37, A. Flintoff three for 30, P. Collingwood two for 11). — AP
